How to edit PDF files in Ms. Word? Yes, in Ms. Word. That's the keyword over here, how you can restrict editing for someone in Ms. Word and how to track changes in Ms. Word. So these are the five important questions that are usually asking questions for Ms. Word interviews. And I'm going to help you learn all of these. This is relatively easy. Now I'm using Ms. Word 2019. The previous versions also have a similar feature. 

Now let's go to our next topic, which is how you can collapse or expand parts of a document in Ms. Word. The amazing thing that can be done. It's called collapsible headers. Now over here, you see, in case you have a question, then you can leave a comment. This is what I have written over here. But see this black header? See this black arrow? I am going to click over here and see what will happen. So much text just appeared. And if I click over here again, it's gone. So this is a collapsible header. How can you make one? I'll show you.1 So I'm going to go to a new page. The best way to go to a new page is to go to insert and go to the page break. 

 All right. I'm going to select it and go to the home and make it as heading one from the style section. All right. And now I'm going to write some text over here automatically. For that, I'm going to use a formula called Rand. Yes, you can use a formula in Ms. Word. So type in is equal to round. Open and close the brackets, press enter and you have so much text. Now as soon as I had given this line the tile of heading one, anything that is written below it before any other heading will be considered as part of this and will become collapsible. See?  Isn't this cool? Now let's move to the third question, which is how can you edit PDF in Ms. Word? We all know that software is required to edit PDF files, but in case you have PDF files that you want to edit, then you can do them in Ms. Word. Also just click on File, go to Open and select your PDF file like this is a PDF file that I have. So Word will now convert your PDF to an editable Word document.

This may take a while. The resulting Word documents will be optimized. Blah blah blah means that the document would be pretty similar to what you have created originally and you can edit it. I'm going to click on okay and see this PDF file is now opened up in Ms. Word. I can do whatever edits I want. If I want to remove this, I can remove this. See and now I can convert it back into a PDF. I'll click on File, go to Export, click on Create PDF and a PDF file would be created. Easy right now let's go to the next question which is how to restrict editing in Ms world. Now you may have written a great document that you don't want people to edit and you also don't want it to be converted into a PDF file.

 Then how do you restrict people from editing it? Well very simple. You go to the Review tab and then you go to restrict Editing over here. Click over here and then in the second option choose Editing Restrictions. Click on the check box over here. This drop-down will become activated and then click no Changes. That is make it read-only. There are other options also you can check them also. So give it a password of your choice. So I'm giving a password as make sure that you remember this password. If once forgotten it cannot be broken. Click okay.

To edit it somebody would have to enter the password by clicking on Stop protection. All right, so that's how you restrict editing in Ms. Word. Now in the next question, usually what is asked is how do you track changes in a document that has been already created? For example, if I mentioned some text over here. So I'm going to use the magic Rand formula to get some text. Now, if I want to track if somebody is making some changes to it then I can very easily do that right now I'm just increasing the font to show it to you clearly and then I'll go to the review tab and click on track changes.
