Orange Theory Workout Today ALL STAPLES
Orange Theory Fitness is, it's a high-energy workout. It's a group fitness and it's geared for all levels. So from beginners to advanced, it's great for anyone who's ready to start their fitness journey. So let me just get into the pros and cons. But first I'm going to start off with the pros. I really enjoyed Orange Theory for the three or four months that I went. I did enjoy it, but there are going to be a little bit more cons than pros.
So the first pro, it's great for any level. Like I said before, if you're a beginner or if you're advanced, it's good for anyone. If you're ready to start your fitness journey, Orange Theory will be great for you. My next pro is that there are several locations throughout the country. So when I went to go visit my family in Dallas, I was able to go to the Orange Theory and Mesquite and I really actually loved that location. They had great customer service and I feel like I would have stayed a little longer had I lived in Dallas. With your membership, you can go to any location, which is really cool. Another pro is that they have several times slots. I'm pretty sure they're open every single day and they have like as early as 05:00 in the morning and as late as 08:00 at night. And the last pro is that they switch up the workouts often.
Obviously, they can only do so much when it comes to the treadmill and the rower, but they would try to add some variety with it. Do the rower for 100 meters and maybe do 30 squats. So I liked how they tried to switch it up. Now we're going to move into the cons. The thing I didn't really like about Orangetheory Fitness and the first Con is that I didn't believe that a lot of the instructors were on the same level. There were some really great instructors at my studio and I feel like everyone wanted to go to their classes and there were just some instructors that just weren't that great. And I'm not saying that they weren't knowledgeable and they weren't educated.
All of the instructors were educated in the craft and everything like that. It's just that they weren't as motivated and they just didn't make me feel like I wanted to be there at times. I just feel like that would bother me at times. If I didn't get an instructor that I really liked and the really good instructors, their classes would fill up pretty quickly. Another Con is that it is pretty expensive. I was paying a little over $100 a month for two classes a week. So that was about eight classes a month. And I was still paying for my other gym membership at La because I didn't want to cancel that because I was only going to Orange Theory for two days a week. So I needed to get at least five days in. So I kept my other members. So it was getting kind of pricey. Plus, with the price at Orange Theory, I was expecting to have a good quality workout every single time.
Another con is the whole heart rate monitor thing. I understand that they need to make money. I didn't like how they marketed the whole heart rate monitor thing. If you've ever been the heart rate monitor screen is on the TV and you're able to see everyone's name and how many flat points they have and just made you want to have it. So I would Rent It When I first started going to Orange Theory, I knew I wasn't going to be staying for too long. That's why I rented it. I knew that I was only going just to kind of get into the groove of a workout and just to get myself started. So I didn't purchase one. I would rent it. But there are some days that I didn't even rent it and no one noticed.
I don't think you have to rent them at every studio. Another Con is that I would just get bored. Like, there were just days where I just didn't want to go and it wasn't because I didn't want to work out. Well, she let me drink Orange soda before going to the doctor. And I remember when I was sitting at the table, I just threw up all over my physician. Like, threw up all over them. I threw up that Orange soda with Orange everywhere.
So ever since then, that Orange. It just makes me nauseous. This was a little PMI, but it just makes me a little nauseous. There are days when I was just like, I don't feel like being in there. I just don't. The last Con is I just didn't like how much of a production it would be at times. Like I was there to get started on my fitness journey I didn't need an instructor next to me every single minute. That's not what I'm saying but I just felt like they were just way too worried about the production in three, two, one we're going at all-out speed treadmills, and then grandma over here is literally breaking her back like hey I'm exaggerating a little but I wish it wasn't just about the treadmills and that all-out speed and whatnot so the production could be a little cheesy at times.
