Happy Resurrection Day Images: Happy Resurrection Sunday Images And Quotes
Where we're at the culmination of the Christian year, to Passion Week, Holy Week, the crucifixion, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. We come to the pinnacle of what is called the way of salvation, a central doctrine of our Christian faith. The greatest teaching of the Bible is found nowhere else being justified by Christ's perfect life. And he asked us to have faith in God, faith in Him. It's the greatest subject in all the world.
The love of Jesus Christ for his own. Let's remember what Scripture says, for, by one man's disobedience that was Adam, many were made sinners. And so by the obedience of one that's Jesus Christ shall many be made righteous. For the imputation of Christ's perfect life was given to us, and we're made right by Him. You know, we're all born into corruption.
There's stuff inside each one of us that causes us to sin. It's like picking up a beautiful apple and then taking a bite and yuck, it's rotten inside. Christ did two things, among many other things, but he lived the only perfect life the world has ever seen. And on top of that, he paid the penalty for our sins. You think of it, he's the one who created all things, and yet he lived and died poor on the very planet. He created a soul for the price of a slave. The one who came to set the prisoners free, found himself bound as a felon and nailed to a tree. He's the one who had borne the crown of dominion, the royalties of heaven, and yet he was pierced with the spiky cross. But hear this in Christ, we who in Adam was condemned and alienated are justified and reconciled.
Folks, we should know that every sin you and I have committed will be punished by God.
The only question is, will it be punished on us in Hell forever, for eternity?
Or was it punished on Christ at Calvary? These are the only options available. Take your pick. For me, it's a no-brainer. I don't want to go to Hell. And I'm very happy to say to you that I will never go to Hell because Jesus Christ went to Hell in my place. And that's the meaning of Easter Sunday. The Bible lichens are being right before God to a wedding garment, a robe. You can't see it, but we've taken that road and we rolled it in a mess of sin. And it's filthy and foul. It shows all of our life our sins. But Christ tells us to take that robe off, and then he takes our ropes upon himself, and he goes to Calvary upon the cross, and there he consumes that sin. He rises from the dead.
And for all of us who will place our trust in Him, he clothes us with his perfect row clothing his righteousness alone, without fault, before the throne of God. Folks, the lights will go on someday. And you, I, like everyone else, will see ourselves for the very first time as God sees us impure, unclean in his eyes. And the King of Kings will come out and he will say to those who have not trusted in Christ friend, how did you come here without a road, without a wedding garment? Offered it to you freely? That person will be speechless. And then the word will come down. Cast them to outer darkness. They'll be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
But all those clothes for the occasion. We will hear the words of God in that great wedding feast when we have come and we have been clothed by the King of Kings in his perfect robe for that feast and that glorious day before the divine judgment, the word will be sounded. The question today is do you have the robe of Christ? Can you say like Joe? I know that my Redeemer lived it.
