For the best remote learning experience, it's important that you have the right tech to set yourself up for success. That's why you need to know about connecting to the campus resources. 

How to connect to UCS VPN, how to access UCI libraries from off-campus, and how UCS students can access free.  Connection to UCS VPN to access UCI resources while off campus, you may need to use your UCNA ID to connect to UCS virtual private network or VPN. For instance, you will need to use Ucsvpn to access resources from UCI libraries. To access UCS applications you will need to download and install UCS software VPN tool Cisco and Econnect. If you need to access UCI-only websites, then you can log in using the Web VPN to install the software VPN or access the Web VPN, head to this page and follow instructions under the appropriate tab. 

Accessing UCI Libraries UCI Libraries is UCI's central resource where students can get help with finding reference materials, accessing online resource databases, and answering research questions.  Remote access to the UCI Library's licensed online resources is available to current UCI students, faculty, and staff. To access these resources from off-campus, you must use UCI's VPN for help connecting to UCI Libraries remotely. Visit this page.

 Accessing Free Software as a UCI student you get access to certain software downloads for free. For instance, you can download Microsoft Office, Windows Ten, and various research software titles such as MATLAB, SAS, SPSS, and more.  You can access these  by logging into the OIT service portal here and typing the word students in the search box. You can also access some software programs normally only available on campus. Computer Lab virtually in your web browser through a virtual computer lab tool.
