3. Fear of missing out (FOMO): Social media feeds can create a fear of missing out on social events, experiences, and opportunities. Constant exposure to friends' posts and updates can lead to feelings of loneliness, isolation, and a sense of being left out.

4. Sleep disturbances: The use of social media, particularly late at night, can interfere with sleep patterns. The blue light emitted by screens suppresses melatonin production, making it difficult to fall asleep. Sleep disturbances can impact mental health, contributing to mood swings, cognitive impairments, and increased stress levels.

5. Addiction and dependency: Social media can be addictive, leading to constant checking, seeking validation through likes and comments, and an excessive need for connection. This dependency can contribute to feelings of anxiety, stress, and irritability when unable to access social media.

6. Poor body image and disordered eating: Continuous exposure to images of an idealized body on social media can negatively impact body image perception. This can lead to the development or exacerbation of eating disorders and unhealthy behaviors such as excessive exercising or restrictive eating.
